Applied Research Center

Part of the renovation of the São Bernardo do Campo unit, the company’s first Applied Research Center (CPA) in Latin America was designed to improve the Toyota’s competitiveness by integrating activities related to research and development of new products and suppliers. With the inauguration of this research center, the company is streamlining the development and nationalization of materials that are better suited to local needs, and facilitating the communication and validation process with the parent company in Japan. The CPA encompasses the departments of Engineering, Procurement, Vehicle Regulation, and Quality Assurance, allowing for greater interaction between the areas, and is now an essential part of the medium- and long-term goals related to efficiency and mobility.
